On March 31, 2024, the sun set on our life in Kugenumakaigan as Moto and I bid farewell to the familiar to embrace the unknown.

With nothing but the essentials packed into our trusty 1991 Rodeo, we plan to set forth on a quest that will redefine our understanding of Japan and ourselves.
The decision to leave behind the comforts of our home and embark on a two-year journey across Japan was born from a simple yet profound belief: "Seeing Is Believing."
We yearn to witness the beauty of Japan with our own eyes, to feel its essence beneath our fingertips, and to immerse ourselves in its rich tapestry of culture and tradition.
In an age where information is readily available at our fingertips, it's all too easy to rely on others' experiences and knowledge. But for us, there was an undeniable urge to break free from the confines of secondhand narratives and embrace the raw, unfiltered reality of our own experiences.
We needed to trust our bodies and our senses, to allow ourselves the opportunity to encounter new experiences and make our own discoveries. And so, with hearts full of anticipation and minds open to possibility, we made the decision to embark on this journey of self-discovery and exploration.
Join us as we traverse the diverse landscapes of Japan, chasing waves and uncovering the hidden treasures that lie beyond the beaten path. Through our blog, we hope to not only share the beauty of our adventures but also inspire others to trust in their own journey of discovery.
Welcome to our odyssey—a journey fueled by curiosity, guided by intuition, and bound by the unwavering belief that true understanding can only be found through firsthand experience.
